We’re gonna need more ketchup.

The St. Pete French Fry Festival, the one that was such a golden, crispy, rousing success in 2017 that you could barely move between bites of fried potato-ey goodness, returns to the city’s waterfront tonight, Feb. 16, but with a much larger venue.

More than 20 food trucks and vendors will fill Straub Park beginning at 6 to serve up their own, special dishes incorporating french fries, as well as their regular menus.

That means fries wrapped in tortillas, fries with eggs on them, fries with sushi on them, vegan chili glazed sweet potato fries -- even some tater tots seem to have snuck into the mix.

Here are pictures of few of the fry-centric dishes that will be served up.

The event, hosted by the Gulf to Bay Food Truck Association, is scheduled to run until 11 p.m. Last year it was held at the smaller Port St. Pete marina.
