John Mayer is on the mend, and Dead and Company are making plans to get back on the road.

The Grateful Dead-honoring supergroup has rescheduled several concerts postponed by Mayer's emergency appendectomy this week, including a Dec. 7 date at Orlando's Amway Center. That show will now take place Feb. 27. A show that was scheduled for the BB&T Center in Sunrise will now take place Feb. 26.

As for Mayer, he's doing about as well as can be expected. On Wednesday, he tweeted: "Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Had surgery yesterday and woke up to see some amazingly kind and loving tweets. I'm so sorry that we couldn't finish out the last few dates of the tour. This band and these shows mean the world to me. Love you all dearly."

And then on Thursday, he followed that up with: "I'm a warm, pilled-out froggy, whizzing my golf cart around the internet, doffing my wool cap to everyone I pass. beep beep hellllloo electric guitars let me get a look at you." So at least he hasn't lost his sense of humor.

Tickets for the old shows will be honored at the new ones; otherwise, refunds area available at point of purchase. Click here for details on the Orlando show.
