Popular up-and-coming Orlando chain, Keke's Breakfast Cafe has recently opened the doors to its fourth Tampa location in South Tampa on June 18.

The restaurant's name Keke's, originates from its owners Keith and Kevin Mahen who started the chain in 2006 and branded it under the slogan: "It's like your hometown diner grew up and went to the city."

The idea refers to its upscale and contemporary atmosphere coupled with its variety of breakfast options that are all handmade and cooked to order.

Some of its popular dishes include the Florida Pancakes, which are topped with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and powdered sugar, or its Stuffed French toast that comes in different varieties such as the piña colada or the apple-cinnamon stuffed french toast.

Located at 1203 S Dale Mabry Highway, adjacent to the Publix Super Market, restaurant manager Fuad Nasib says they picked the perfect location.

"We're busy and fitting in pretty well now that a lot of people don't have to make that drive to our Carrollwood location," he said.

In addition to Carrollwood and the new South Tampa location, Keke's has a site in Riverview and another in Citrus Park.

Prices range from $7 to $15 and the cafe operates daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
