Warrant issued for Tampa suspect in January slaying

TAMPA — Hillsborough County deputies have identified the suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in January.

Deputies are searching for 23-year-old Javon Rakeem Turner, who is wanted in the death of 22-year-old Elijah Moore on Jan. 17.

According to deputies, Moore's body was found in the 3700 block of Carroway Street, near Grant Park.

Turner is known to frequent the Grant Park area, and deputies say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at the Crime Stoppers website, or send a mobile tip using the P3 app.
