HUDSON — If you're into country, Honky Tonk Laundry, which opens July 21 at the Show Palace Dinner Theatre, might be the ticket.

Written by Roger Bean (The Marvelous Wonderettes/Life Could Be a Dream?), this comedy musical features a two-woman cast — a couple of gossipy southern belles who spend their time wagging their tongues, while folding laundry and busting out country pop tunes made famous by the likes of Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, The Dixie Chicks, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.

Millicent Hunnicut (The Great American Trailer Park, Will Rogers Follies, Hello Dolly, Crazy for You) plays the role of Lana Mae Hopkins, the owner of the Wishy Washy Washateria. Taking on the role of her employee, Katie Lane Murphy, is cast member Bridgette Karl (Legally Blonde, Vayna, Sonia, Masha & Spike, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Cry-Baby, The Great American Trailer Park Musical.

Director is Matthew Belopavlovich (Route 66, Trailer Park, Smokey Joe's Cafe). Music director is Matty Colonna (A Show Palace Christmas, Marvelous Wonderettes at StageWorks in Tampa and Menopause the Musical.)
